2016
Foundation of KozyGuru
KozyGuru was founded in Sydney, Australia, with a focus on short-term rentals. Starting with a small portfolio of properties, our mission was simple: to provide professional Airbnb property management and elevate the rental experience for both owners and guests.
2017
Expanding to Melbourne & Brisbane
In just one year, KozyGuru expanded its operations to Melbourne and Brisbane, reaching the milestone of 100 listings. We also launched our furniture design department, providing tailored solutions to enhance property appeal and guest satisfaction.
2018
Growth and Innovation
2018 marked a year of extraordinary growth—experiencing a 500% increase in properties under management. KozyGuru expanded its presence in Brisbane, formed dedicated operations and sales teams, and launched a WeChat mini app booking engine to better serve our growing clientele, particularly in the Chinese market.
2019
Going Global
In 2019, we took KozyGuru international, opening our first overseas branch office in Taipei, Taiwan, and expanding our operations to Vancouver, Canada. At the same time, we strengthened our foothold in Australia, extending services to the Gold Coast. We also introduced new technological tools and formed a key partnership with ShareCover, offering better protection for property owners.
2020
Overcoming Challenges
2020 was a challenging year for many, but KozyGuru adapted quickly by launching new marketing strategies and forming key partnerships with property investors. We navigated the uncertainties posed by the COVID-19 pandemic by launching an in-house cleaning app and stayed on track to reach 500 listings. By year’s end, we had hosted over 40,000 guests and facilitated 14,000+ bookings.
2021
Expanding to the United Kingdom
KozyGuru enhanced its services with more comprehensive management packages and advanced pricing optimisation tools to help property owners maximise their revenue. We further expanded globally, establishing operations in the United Kingdom and forming a dedicated marketing team to support our growing network of property investors.
2022
Strategic Alliances and Hosting Partner Program
In 2022, we established strategic alliances with leading hospitality technology providers, launching our Hosting Partner Program. This collaboration led to continued growth, surpassing 1,000 property listings across major metropolitan areas, further cementing KozyGuru's presence in the short-term rental industry.
